Terms of service

Review the terms that apply when using GPX Mapper Visualizer.

Welcome to GPX to Map (the "Site"). By accessing or using gpxtomap.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

1. Account Types and Use

  • Anonymous Uploads: Anonymous users may generate maps shared via a signed URL. These signed URLs and the underlying map data automatically expire and are permanently deleted after thirty (30) days.
  • Registered Accounts: Users may register for an account to save maps indefinitely. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, and you can self-terminate your account or delete routes at any time via your dashboard.

2. User Content, Privacy Toggles, and Licenses

  • You retain all ownership rights to the GPX data (routes, waypoints, and metadata) you upload.
  • By uploading a GPX file, you represent and warrant that you have the right to upload that data and that it does not violate the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party.
  • By setting a map to Public, you grant GPX to Map a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and make that route, metadata, and associated waypoints accessible to the public.
  • By setting a map to Private (or using an anonymous link), we will use commercially reasonable efforts to keep that route unlisted and secure, though you acknowledge that sharing the URL will grant others access to view it.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the functionality of the Site.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the code of the Site.
  • Upload malicious software, viruses, or corrupted/harmful GPX files.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

THE SITE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. YOUR USE OF THE SITE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. IN NO EVENT SHALL GPX to Map OR ITS CREATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SITE.

They are not intended for use as a primary navigation tool, for safety-critical decision-making, or for professional surveying. You should always use official maps and exercise caution when navigating in the field. GPX to Map is not responsible for any inaccuracies in the data or any outcomes resulting from your reliance on the information provided on this Site.

5. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Site after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated terms.
